Phil & Ted's Poppy highchair!

I certainly wouldn't call myself a highchair aficionado, BUT after year and years of using them with my own kids, and working with them back in the old childcare days, I know a thing or two about what I like to see in them.

The first thing I look at is always how easy they are to keep clean. I love the idea of nice cushiony seats, but at the end of the day, they can just add so much extra effort to try and keep them clean.

The second thing I usually look at, is how much time am I going to get out of it? There's no point in investing in something that will only last until the 12 month mark. My older two have been in and out of highchairs until at least 2 years old, so it's important that it's going to stand the test of time.

The third thing I usually look at is the aesthetics. What does it look like? I don't want to sound superficial here, but lets face it. When purchasing an item of furtniture that's going to be on display for the world (or at least the visiting relatives) to see, you want it to be relatively pleasing to the eye... right?

Phil & Ted's Go Buggy!

About six months ago, the very kind people over at 'Phil & Teds' asked me if I would like to give their fabulous new ‘Go Buggy’ a whirl. Given that I was in the market to downgrade our MASSIVE double pram, I was intrigued. So, I agreed to give it a go, in exchange for some honest feedback for them! It’s a win-win!

After years of having to load and unload a giant double pram in and out of cars, and push it up and down hills, going to something that was so small and compact was an absolute breath of fresh air! With Abbie starting school this year, I was finding myself using a pram multiple times a day, just for school drop off and pick up. Let alone the times in between!

Much of our lives these days are lived indoors - particularly throughout the winter months. Sometimes it’s hard to get out and about, and to keep the kids (and me too I guess) motivated enough to live an active and healthy life. Especially when all you really want to do is stay inside and hibernate! Then sometimes you find yourself on the opposite end of the spectrum, where you’re constantly trekking between school, swimming lessons, ballet lessons, and everything in between. Finding activities that you all enjoy, that are convenient to attend and organise, and also FUN enough to keep the kids entertained, is difficult sometimes!

So, when Tennis Australia reached out to me a few months ago, to see if the girls and I would like to take part in their ANZ Tennis Hot Shots program for a term, and for me to share my experience on my blog and social media, I had to make sure it was something that I would actuallydo in regular life. I set out to do a little research into the program and what it offers.
