A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure and privilege of attending the 'Kids Business' bloggers brunch in sunny Sydney. Together with some of my fave babes, we stayed at the 'Oaks Goldsborough' at Pyrmont, in one of their penthouse suites. A fabulous dual level, apartment style room, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, laundry, lounge/family area, and a fully contained kitchen. The kitchen is a great family friendly option, especially when eating out with a family can be super expensive... or if you're like us, you're a few tired mums that would rather put on the pj's and cook a meal at home, than head out on the town!
If you are interested in heading out to see what the area has to offer, the location of the Oaks Goldsborough is right in the heart of Darling Harbour. It's a short walk to so many attractions like the the Sydney Aquarium, so many amazing restaurants and cafes, the convention centre, and the casino. There are facilities like shops around the corner, a short walk to pick up anything that you might need... or a long walk if you have Siri and her not so helpful directions!
The hotel itself was neat, clean and modern. The staff were so friendly and helpful. As my traveling companions each had a small person in tow, the staff didn't hesitate to provide extra porta cots, to accommodate everyone upon arrival. I should point out that the room was dual level, with the living areas upstairs, and the sleeping downstairs. This did create some difficulty with two small toddlers, eager to climb and explore, so that should be noted if you're thinking of traveling there with similar circumstances.
All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to bring the family back there in the future, particularly as the key activities for us as a family lie in the heart of the Darling Harbour area. The hotel ticks all the major boxes for me and my family. So, thanks to the crew at the Oaks Goldsborough for a fab stay, and I can't wait to do it all again! xx
